Friday was a rollercoaster sports day for New England starting with the Boston Red Sox losing 4-2 against the White Sox at Fenway, the Worcester Red Sox losing 6-2 in Toledo against the Mud Hens and the Portland Sea Dogs losing 5-3 against the Reading Fightin Phils.
The winning for New England was in Boston and Hartford. The Bruins at home at TD Garden, grabbed a 2-4 game 3 win in the East Division Semifinals against the Hurricanes. The Yard Goats Friday night shutout the Rumble Ponies 4-0 to grab their third straight win at home this week.
Saturday Boston, Worcester and Portland will attempt to redeem themselves while the Connecticut Sun will take on the Liberty in Brooklyn, Celtics will face the Bucks in Milwaukee in game 3 of the East Second Round, Manchester Fisher Cats will meet the Somerset Patriots, the New England Revolution host the Columbus Crew and the Yard Goats will attempt to take game 4 against the Rumble Ponies.
