After snow postponed their Tuesday night contest with the Syracuse Mets, on Wednesday the Worcester Red Sox played a double header against the Mets Triple-A at NBT Bank Stadium.
In game one the Worcester Red Sox came up short with a 4-2 loss. The WooSox two runs came at the top of the first with both Duran and Downs scoring. In the bottom of the third Daniel Palka hit a homer to drive in Bohanek and Young and make it a 2-3 Mets lead. In the bottom of the 5th, Nick Meyer hit his first double of the season to drive in Quinn Brodey and make it a 2-4 Mets game.
Game two of this double header was a 0-1 loss for the WooSox who started this game with Seabold leading off at the mouns and going six innings allowing only four hits and zero runs to strikeout five. Ort who took over for Seabold closed the game for the WooSox allowing the Mets to get their solo run to win the game.
