On Tuesday at the United States District Court in Worcester, Revel Pedro Rivera, 43, of Southbridge pleaded guilty today to one count of attempted possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine.
Federal agents in July 2020, intercepted a package containing a kilogram of cocaine that was shipped to Rivera’s residence from Puerto Rico.
After replacing the cocaine with a counterfeit substance, the package was delivered to and accepted by Rivera on July 6, 2020.
After leaving his property with the package, Rivera was taken into custody.
U.S. District Court Judge Timothy S. Hillman scheduled sentencing for June 7, 2022.
