Two weeks after Yairo Munoz signed a minor-league contract with the Phillies on February 1, Joshua Ockimey on Monday tweeted “Excited to announce that I’ve signed with the Philadelphia Phillies! Thrilled to have the opportunity to play for the organization of my hometown. Looking forward to this year.”
Ockimey, a Philadelphia native who attended Saints John Neumann and Maria Goretti Catholic High School hopes to make his major league debut with his hometown team.
