Jack Lopez who made his major league debut with the Boston Red Sox in September 2021, has inked a deal with Detroit Tigers.
Lopez who becme a minor-league free agent in November agreed to a minor-league contract with the Tigers on Monday.
Lopez, started the 2021 season with Double-A Portland but after a week he earned himself a spot with Triple-A Worcester.
With the WooSox, Looez batted .274/.345/.386 (99 wRC+) with 14 doubles, one triple, three home runs, 33 RBIs, 29 runs, 15 stolen bases, 19 walks, and 54 strikeouts over 68 games.
Also during the 2021 season, Lopez played with Team USA in the Tokyo Olympics and earned a silver medal.
