Springfield Police Recover Ghost Gun While Executing A Search Warrant

As the result of an ongoing investigation, at around 11:10 p.m. Saturday night, officers assigned to the Springfield Police Department Firearms Investigation Unit arrested Davey Quinones, 18, of Springfield. 

Springfield Police had reason to believe that Quinones was in possession of a firearm and at the conclusion of their investigation they applied for and was granted a search warrant for his home.

While officers were in the area of Quinones’ home conducting surveillance they heard what sounded like a gun shot in the area. It was then that they decided to execute the search warrant. 

While they were executing the search warrant at the home, officers recovered a loaded high capacity Ghost Gun, an additional magazine and a single shell casing.  

Quinones was taken into custody and was charged with Possession of a Firearm without a FID Card, Possession of a High Capacity Magazine/Feeding Device, Improper Storage of A Large Capacity Firearm, Discharging a Firearm within 500 feet of a Building and Possession of Ammunition without a FID Card
