Patriots Shutout The Falcons With 25-0 Win

Thursday night the Patriots and the Falcons kicked off week eleven of the season for the NFL at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The Patriots after claiming a 25-0 win, now lead the all-time series between the two franchises, 9-6, and have won each of the past six meetings. 

With Thursday night’s primetime win the Patriots now have five consecutive wins, seven wins for the season, are number two in the AFC East and number five in the AFC. 

In the first quarter, Nick Folk got the Patriots in this game with a 32 yard field goal. At the end of the first quarter it was a 3-0 Patriots lead. In the second quarter Nelson Agholo had a TD and Nick Folk made a field goal. At the end of the second quarter it was a 13-0 Patriots lead. In the fourth quarter, Nick Folk made two field goals and Kyle Van Noy intercepted a pass by Rosen intended for Gage and then got a TD. At the end of the fourth quarter it was a 25-0 Patriots win. 

After the game when Coach Belichick was asked about Mac Jones handling himself against Dean Pees, he said “We had plenty of good plays, but we didn’t get enough points because we had too many drive-stopping plays. ​​You got to avoid those plays in order to score in this league. We just didn’t do a good enough job tonight.” When asked how he feels about the team after two wins within a week, Belichick said “Just take it one day at a time here and try to keep making the most out every day. Times good if we can use it. So try to use it to prep with.”

When asked about how he would define the defense, JC Jackson said, “I don’t want to brag too much but I feel like we have one of the best defenses in the league. We got a good pass rush and guys up front that are doing good this season. The second has always been pretty good and we are starting to build chemistry.”
