Boston Police Make Firearm Arrest On MLK Boulevard In Roxbury

This morning at about 10:05 a.m., officers with the Boston Police responding to a call for a person with a gun in the area of 300 Martin Luther King Boulevard in Roxbury.

When officers arrived in the area they observed Tyrell Williams, 25, of Dorchester walking in the area and approached to speak with him. Officers then performed a pat frisk of Williams, at which time they recovered a loaded handgun from inside his jacket pocket.

Williams was taken into custody and changed with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Carrying a Loaded Firearm and Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device.

The charges contained in the Complaint are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
