Two Shot In Brockton, Including A Police Officer

By Josephine Turco – Earlier tonight Brockton Police responded to the area of Taber Ave for a report of shots fired.

What we know right now is that two individuals have been shot. One of these individuals is a police officer with the Brockton Police Department.

The officer was taken to Boston Medical Center with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

This officer was conscious and alert when he was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.

At the scene, it is very active with both Brockton Police, State Police and regional SWAT.

The focus at the scene shifted from an active shooter to a barricaded suspect inside of a home. That suspect is now in custody and is being taken to an area hospital.
