Worcester Beats Buffalo 9-4 With 5 Homers

The Worcester Red Sox now have claimed back-to-back wins in Buffalo against the Bisons, after a 9-4 win Wednesday night.

Worcester came into this game tonight with three back-to-back homers at the top of the first, Yairo Munoz hit his seventh homer, Joey Meneses hit his second homer and then Conor Wong hit his fourth homer to make it a 3-0, Worcester lead.

At the top of the second, Jonathan Araúz scored to make it a 4-0, Worcester lead.

In the bottom of the second, Christian Colon hit his fourteenth homer of the season to get Buffalo in the game and make it a 4-1, Worcester lead.

Jeter Downs scored in the top of the third to make it a 5-1, Worcester lead.

At the top of the fourth, Yairo Munoz did it again. He hit his second homer of the game and his eighth for the season to make it a 6-1, Worcester lead.

Danny Jansen scored in the bottom of the fourth for Buffalo to make it a 6-2, Worcester lead.

Both Yairo Munoz and Franchy Cordero scored at the top of the sixth to make it an 8-2, Worcester lead.

At the top of the eighth, Joey Meneses hit his  second homer of the game and his third for the season to make it a 9-2, Worcester lead.

Both Otto Lopez and Tyler White scored in the bottom of the eighth for Buffalo to make it a 9-4, Worcester lead.

Thursday night, tomorrow the Worcester Red Sox will look to get their third win in this six game series.
