In the Canal District Friday night, with 8,331 fans at Polar Park, the RailRiders claimed a 14-2 win against the Worcester Red Sox.
This game started at the top of the second with Rob Brantly, Donny Sands, Armando Alvarez and Kyle Holder all scoring to make it a 4-0, RailRiders lead.
Then came the fourth and Jonathan Davis with his first homer of the season and two RBI (Armando Alvarez and and Cristian Perez) to make it 7-0, RailRiders lead.
The RailRiders controled the top of the sixth with Kyle Holder, Cristian Perez, Estevan Florial and Chris Gittens all scoring to make it an 11-0, RailRiders lead.
At the top of the seventh, Donny Sands and Kyle Holder scored to make it a 13-0, RailRiders lead.
At the top of the eigth, Trey Amburgey scored to make it a 14-0, RailRiders lead.
After going seven scoreless innings, the Worcester Red Sox got two runs in the bottom of the eigth with Johan Mieses and Chad De la Guerra to make it a 14-2, RailRiders lead.
