Game two of Friday nights doubleheader, the WooSox Played as Los Wepas de Worcester and the Syracuse Mets claimed the second game of this double header 5-4.
At the top of the third, Cody Bohanek scored to make it a 1-0, Syracuse lead and at the top of the 5th, Cody Bohanek stole home to make it a 2-0, Syracuse lead.
That was followed by Chance Sisco hitting his fifth homer of the season and getting an RBI (Wilfredo Tovar and Khalil Lee) to make it a 5-0, Syracuse lead.
Worcester went four innings without a run but that changed in the bottom of the fifth with Ryan Fitzgerald hitting his fifth homer of the season and getting an RBI ( Jett Bandy and Jeremy Rivera) to make it a 5-3, Syracuse lead.
In the bottom of the fifth, Delino DeShields hit a double and Yairo Munoz scored to make it a 5-4, Syracuse lead.
In the bottom of the seventh, Yairo Munoz hist a single on a ground ball. To most that would mean nothing but actually, it is everything and matters so much because Munoz extended his hitting streak to 34 straight games which ties the all-time Red Sox organizational record for longest hitting streak with the great Dom DiMaggio who also hit in 34 consecutive games for the Boston Red Sox in 1949.
