Worcester Police Vice Squad Arrest Two Men For Trafficking Heroin And Distribution Of Cocaine

By Hannah McDowell –

Worcester Police say that on Thursday they received calls for a gray Saturn driving through Hope Cemetery at a high rate of speed. While the call was sent out to officers in the area, officers assigned to the Worcester Police Vice Squad realized that it was a vehicle that they were looking for and had a search warrant for.

Officers with the Vice Squad conducted surveillance of the vehicle and eventually stopped it in the area of Lincoln Plaza.

Two occupants in the vehicle were identified as Tyree Williams, 19, of Henchman St, and Omar Mohamud, 19, of Upland Gardens Drive. Worcester Police said that Mohamud had a warrant for his arrest and was placed under arrest.

While searching the vehicle, officers recovered individually packaged bags of what appeared to be heroin and “crack cocaine,” along with a small scale and other items consistent with the sale of illegal drugs.

Both Williams and Mohamud were arrested and charged with Trafficking in Heroin 37-99 grams and Possession of a Class B Substance with Intent to Distribute.

Both were arraigned in Worcester District Court on Friday.
