On Wednesday night the Boston Red Sox lost 2-1 against the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park in Houston.
At Polar Park, Wednesday night the WooSox lost 18-5 against the Rochester Red Wings.
In high school baseball around Worcester. St. John’s beat Shrewsbury 3-2. Blackstone Valley beat Doherty 6-5. Leominster beat St. Paul 6-5. Auburn beat Uxbridge 9-2 and Northridge shutout Southbridge 19-0.
Bruins had Wednesday night off and will return to the ice on Saturday for game three of round two against the Islanders. The series is tied 1-1.
The Massachusetts Pirates had a bye week this past Saturday but will play their next game this Saturday. The Pirates will play the Louisville Xtreme at the DCU Center.
