Worcester Red Sox beat Buffalo Bisons 4-0 And Win Six Game Series 4-2

Sunday was game six of a six game series between the Worcester Red Sox and the Buffalo Bisons. This Series started on Tuesday with the Worcester Red Sox winning 9-4. On Wednesday night, Buffalo Bisons won game two 4-1. On Thursday night, Worcester Red Sox won 4-1. Friday night, the Bisons won 6-4. On Saturday night, Worcester won game five 7-4 and Sunday afternoon, Worcester beat the Buffalo Bisons 4-0. Worcester Red Sox also won this six game series 4-2.

On Sunday, In the bottom of the second, Jonathan Arauz scored to put the Worcester Red Sox on the board, 1-0. Bottom of the fourth, Cesar Puello scored to make it a 2-0, Worcester game. Bottom of the 5th, Christian Arroyo scored to make it a 3-0 Worcester game. In the bottom of the eighth, Cesar Puello scored for a second time, making it a 4-0 Worcester game.

The Worcester Red Sox will have Monday off before they head to Allentown, PA Tuesday to play six games against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs. The six game series between the two teams will be the first time that they have played each other.

On Sunday, USA Baseball announced the full Team USA roster that will attempt to qualify for the Tokyo Summer Olympics, which begins in late July. The training camp roster includes 28 players, which will be reduced to 26 before qualifying play begins. To be eligible for inclusion, a player cannot presently be on any MLB team’s 40-man roster. Jarren Duran who has had an impressive start to the 2021 season with the Worcester Red Sox, has made the Team USA roster. Duran has been hitting bombs for the Worcester Red Sox and the 24-year-old, this season has had 67 at bats, 14 runs, 20 hits, 7 homers and 12 RBI’s. His career totals are 869 at bats, 156 runs, 278 hits, 15 homers and 85 RBI’s.
