On Thursday at the United States District Court in Worcester, before U.S. District Court Judge Timothy S. Hillman, Alberto Nunez, 46, of Fitchburg pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 28 grams or more of cocaine base, fentanyl and cocaine.
From November 2019 to February 2020, Nunez conspired with others to distribute and to possess with intent to distribute cocaine base, fentanyl and cocaine in Worcester County and other areas in Massachusetts.
During a federal investigation into drug trafficking in the Fitchburg area in September 2018, it was determined that Nunez was a drug dealer who regularly distributed fentanyl and cocaine base to multiple drug customers.
Nunez delivered the drugs to his customers himself and also had multiple associates deliver fentanyl and cocaine base to customers on his behalf.
Most of Nunez’s customers were drug users, but some further distributed the drugs they purchased from Nunez.
Nunez is scheduled to be sentenced on May 10, 2021.
