After three winning games on the road, Monday night the Celtics returned home for a matchup with the Dallas Mavericks at the TD Garden.
Talk about a fire tonight, the Celtics were lit and to start it off Rob Williams came in and immediately scored an alley-oop.
In the first half the Celtics struggled a bit but in the second half Kemba Walker came alive with 29 points, 8 threes, 5 rebs and 5 assists.
Smart finished Monday night with 14 points, 6 assists and 3-6 from three and Jaylen Brown finished the night with 25 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists.
The Celtics beat the Mavericks 116-106 and now have 8 straight wins. If that’s not the perfect start to open this season, I don’t know what else is.
Celtics update on Gordon Hayward who had surgery Monday to repair a fractured fourth metacarpal, will miss approximately six weeks.
