Worcester Police have confirmed that On Monday just before 4 p.m., officers responded to 31 Elizabeth Street for a report of an assault with a dangerous weapon.

Upon arrival officers found a 26-year-old male who appeared to be shot in the leg. WPD says that “officers rendered medical aid to the victim until paramedics arrived.”

The victim was taken to an area hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries and detectives are continuing to investigate the incident.
