Several nonprofits in Southern Worcester County received hundreds of new winter jackets last week as the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office and The Worcester County Reserve Deputy Sheriff’s Association made the final stops on their scheduled coat drive route.
The two groups said they have delivered thousands of new coats to community organizations across Worcester County during this year’s Winter Coat Drive. Those delivered help local nonprofits provide warm clothing to the people they serve as winter approaches.
Last week’s stops wrapped up the scheduled distribution days, but the groups said they plan to make more deliveries in the coming weeks.
