Governor Maura Healey and Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll made campaign stops across Massachusetts over the holiday weekend as voters began returning mail ballots. A Monday campaign release described events in Greater Boston, the South Shore, South Coast, Central Massachusetts and North Shore.

Healey joined more than 1,000 union members and family members Saturday at the District Council 35 Safety Training Awards Recognition event at Franklin Park Zoo. Her campaign said she discussed workplace safety, registered apprenticeships and union jobs.

She later attended a canvass launch in Hingham and served attendees at Shuckfest in Duxbury. Driscoll held a canvass launch in Dartmouth and met voters in Brockton.

On Sunday, Healey and First Lady Joanna Lydgate visited the Topsfield Fair before Healey attended the Brews for Blues event in Newburyport. Driscoll met residents in Westborough.

The campaign emphasized affordability, housing, health care and property tax relief in its account of the weekend. Those descriptions reflect the candidates’ campaign messaging rather than an independent assessment of the administration’s record.

Healey and Driscoll are seeking reelection, and their campaign said it was working to mobilize voters in the final weeks before Election Day. The weekend itinerary included conversations with workers, volunteers and residents around the state.
