DANVILLE, Vt. — A Maine woman was arrested on a DUI refusal charge Saturday after troopers on routine patrol clocked a vehicle traveling 80 mph in a posted 55 mph zone in Danville.
Tehya Boucher, 34, of Greenbush, Maine, was taken into custody following the traffic stop near Route 2 and Jamieson Road.
The stop unfolded at approximately 5:16 p.m. Saturday when troopers on routine patrol observed the vehicle traveling 25 mph over the posted speed limit.
Troopers initiated the traffic stop and identified Boucher as the operator.
During the investigation, troopers determined Boucher had allegedly operated the vehicle under the influence.
Boucher was taken into custody and transported to the Vermont State Police barracks for processing.
She was later released on a citation to appear in Caledonia County court.
Boucher faces a DUI refusal charge.
Her court appearance is scheduled for October 5 at 8:30 a.m.
