HARTLAND, Vt. — A Vermont man was arrested Friday night after state police say he violated the conditions of an Abuse Prevention Order in Hartland.
Vermont State Police said troopers from the Royalton Barracks received a report on August 21 that Gregory Doston, 48, of Hartland, had allegedly violated conditions imposed by the court order.
The incident was reported at approximately 7:27 p.m. in the area of 100 Shute Road.
Police launched an investigation into the allegation.
According to Vermont State Police, investigators determined that Doston had violated conditions of the Abuse Prevention Order.
Doston was arrested and transported to the Vermont State Police Royalton Barracks for processing.
Following processing, police said Doston was issued a citation ordering him to appear in Windsor County Criminal Division on Monday, August 24, at 12:30 p.m.
He was then released into the custody of Probation and Parole.
State police listed bail at $5,000 and Southern State Correctional Facility as the lodging location.
The information released by Vermont State Police did not provide details about the specific condition Doston is accused of violating or describe the circumstances that led to the initial Abuse Prevention Order.
