Phillies vs. Nationals: Citizens Bank Park Hosts Giveaways, Cole Hamels, Margaritaville Night and More

PHILADELPHIA — The Philadelphia Phillies are coming home looking to build momentum, but the action won’t stop when the first pitch is thrown.

Citizens Bank Park is set to host four days packed with baseball, community service, special ceremonies, giveaways and fan events as the Phillies welcome the Washington Nationals for a four-game series beginning Monday night.

The baseball matters.

So does everything happening around it.

The homestand opens Monday with Margaritaville Night as the Phillies host Washington at 6:40 p.m.

Fans arriving early will be greeted by Jimmy and The Parrots, who will perform behind Section 148 before first pitch, setting the tone for a tropical-themed evening at the ballpark.

Monday also carries a community mission.

The Phillies, Independence Blue Cross and the Jesús Luzardo Family Foundation are partnering to collect school supplies to help stock classrooms before the new school year.

Fans donating notebooks, pencils, crayons, dry-erase markers, composition books, folders, glue sticks, tissues, hand sanitizer and other classroom essentials at the entrance gates will receive a voucher for a special ticket discount to a future Phillies game.

Throughout the series, Chevrolet vehicles will be displayed at Third Base Plaza and The Yard.

Monday’s Toyota Hometown Hero recognition will honor Philadelphia Fire Department Lt. Teddy Santiago and K9 partner BG following the third inning.

Tuesday shifts the spotlight from the big leagues to the next generation of talent.

Before the Phillies and Nationals meet again at 6:40 p.m., the champions of the 2026 Phillies Carpenter Cup presented by Nike will be recognized on the field.

The Philadelphia Catholic League baseball champions and the Suburban One Bicentennial softball champions will receive on-field recognition before thousands of fans.

The ceremonial first pitch will be thrown by Philadelphia 76ers President of Basketball Operations Mike Gansey.

Students and recent graduates will also have an opportunity to explore careers in professional sports through the Phillies College Series Business of Sports Night presented by Temple University’s Fox School of Business.

Wednesday brings another full schedule.

Pickleball Night and PAL Night headline the evening as the Phillies continue the series with Washington.

Before the game, Phillies and Citizens Bank Park Employees of the Month will be recognized on the field.

The Police Athletic League of Philadelphia will receive an on-field check presentation before first pitch, while a PAL officer will be recognized as the Toyota Hometown Hero after the third inning.

Fans over 21 can visit Miller Lite Liberty Landing before first pitch for complimentary Peroni samples while supplies last.

The Surfside Good Times Roll bus will park outside the Third Base Gate featuring giveaways and photo opportunities.

GHOST Energy will also offer product samples inside Left Field Plaza before the game and again following the final out.

The series concludes Thursday with one of the week’s biggest attractions.

Every fan attending the 6:05 p.m. finale will receive an Iowa-inspired PGW Multi-Player T-Shirt.

The afternoon also doubles as Rotary Strike Out Hunger & Polio Night, with fans encouraged to donate non-perishable food items at every entrance gate to benefit the Cherry Hill Food Pantry.

Former Phillies star and 2008 World Series champion Cole Hamels will return to Citizens Bank Park as a celebrity bartender at the Jim Beam Skyline Bar before the game.

Thursday also features the GHOST Energy Ticket Bundle, giving fans a standing-room-only ticket along with credit toward a GHOST Energy beverage at the GHOST Energy Deck.

TheScore Bet will provide games and giveaways at First Base Plaza throughout the afternoon.

Stephen Anderson will be recognized as Thursday’s Toyota Hometown Hero following the third inning.

Fans attending any game during the series will also find special food offerings available only for this homestand.

CHEESSTEAKS from Merchantville, New Jersey, will feature its Garlic Parm Chicken Cheesesteak at Coca-Cola Corner inside Left Field Plaza.

The New Era Phillies Team Store is also showcasing a special Chase Utley collection celebrating his induction into the Toyota Phillies Wall of Fame.

The exclusive collection includes limited-edition No. 26 jerseys featuring a Wall of Fame patch along with other ballpark-only merchandise.

The celebration extends beyond the current series.

Leading into Toyota Phillies Alumni Weekend, the Phillies Charities Online Auction remains open through Aug. 13, featuring team-issued and game-used autographed memorabilia signed by Phillies alumni including Larry Bowa, Steve Carlton, Brad Lidge, Charlie Manuel, Mickey Morandini, Carlos Ruiz, Jim Thome, Chase Utley and Shane Victorino.

Whether fans come for baseball, giveaways, community events or Phillies history, Citizens Bank Park is set to offer something every day of the four-game series.

The Phillies will try to take care of business against the Nationals.
