Dudley – Joshua Conley, of Southbridge being held at the Worcester County House of Correction after being arraigned Tuesday in Dudley District Court on charges stemming from an alleged police pursuit and reckless driving incident.
According to court records, Conley was arraigned on April 21, where he entered a not guilty plea to multiple charges. Judge James G. Haddad ordered bail set at $25,000 surety or $2,500 cash, along with standard conditions of release.
He was unable to post bail and was ordered held pending further court proceedings. His next scheduled court appearance is a pretrial hearing on May 26.
The charges are related to an incident that occurred on April 17 in Southbridge and include:
- Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle
- Failure to Stop for Police
- Speeding (Exceeding Posted Limit)
- Failure to Stop or Yield
- Failure to Yield at an Intersection
Two of the charges are criminal motor vehicle offenses, while the remaining violations are civil infractions.
Court records indicate that the complaint was issued following a new arrest, and a statement of facts was filed in support of the charges. Conley was advised of his rights during arraignment and was appointed legal counsel.
No additional details regarding the circumstances of the alleged pursuit have been released at this time.
