Marlborough – On April 1, 2026, at approximately 1:01 p.m., the Marlborough Police Department responded to a reported stabbing at an apartment building under construction near the intersection of Main Street and Exchange Street.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from a stab wound to the abdomen. Authorities determined the injury occurred during an argument inside the building. The suspect had fled the scene prior to police arrival.
Officers, assisted by K9 units, quickly established a search of the surrounding area. A short time later, the suspect—identified as 46-year-old Jose Vicente—was located near the intersection of Mechanic Street and Central Street.
Vicente was taken into custody without incident and transported to the police station for booking.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital and is expected to recover, with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
