Boston – A stabbing in South Boston has now become a homicide investigation after the victim succumbed to his injuries, authorities confirmed.
Officers assigned to District 6 responded to a report of a person stabbed at approximately 5:52 p.m. on Friday, March 27, at an apartment located on Old Colony Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from a serious stab wound.
Emergency medical personnel transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where he later died on Saturday, March 28.
Following the incident, Boston Police arrested Gisselle Pascual, 24, of South Boston. She was initially charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. After the victim’s death, and in coordination with prosecutors, the charge is being upgraded to manslaughter.
The suspect is expected to be arraigned in South Boston District Court.
The investigation remains active and is being led by Boston Police Homicide detectives.

Pascual is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
