BOSTON — The Boston Red Sox announced a wide-ranging series of promotions, hires and minor league field staffs for the 2026 season, restructuring the organization’s Player Development department and finalizing coaching assignments across all affiliates.
Ben Buck was promoted to director of pitching after serving as pitching coordinator. Quinn Cleary was hired as assistant director of pitching following his work as a pitching coordinator with the Seattle Mariners in 2025.
Robbie Britt joined the organization as field coordinator after serving as head baseball coach at Eastern Michigan University from 2023 to 2025 and the University of Charleston from 2019 to 2023. JP Fasone was promoted to hitting coordinator after serving as High-A Greenville’s hitting coach in 2025.
Pablo Cabrera was named defensive coordinator for infield and outfield after serving as defensive coach for the FCL Red Sox. Tyson Blaser was named assistant field coordinator in addition to his role as catching coordinator.
Jordan Elkary was promoted to assistant director of player development after serving as manager of player development. Justin Frometa was promoted to manager of player development after serving as assistant.
Manny Alvarez was promoted to manager of Latin American operations in the Dominican Republic after serving as assistant. Brendan Connolly was named assistant of player development after spending the 2025 season as a development coach with Triple-A Worcester. Nick Guzzo was named specialist for minor league video and technology, and Josh Mould was promoted to analyst in baseball analytics.
Nick Murray was promoted to pitching coordinator for minor league rehab. Jose Benjamin was named assistant coordinator of minor league strength and conditioning after serving as strength and conditioning coach for Single-A Salem in 2025.
Chelsea Willette was promoted to senior coordinator of minor league athletic training. Alex Moses was named assistant coordinator of minor league nutrition after working as a dietitian for the Florida and Dominican complexes. Bethany De Leon was hired as education specialist.
At Triple-A Worcester, Chad Tracy will serve as manager with Dan DeLucia as pitching coach, Noah Junis as bullpen coach, Collin Hetzler as hitting coach and Johnny Reina joining as assistant hitting coach after serving in the same role for Double-A Portland in 2025. Iggy Suarez will serve as defensive coach, with Scott Gallon and Nick Kuchwara as athletic trainers and Nick LaRue as strength and conditioning coach.
Double-A Portland will be managed by Chad Epperson with Juan Rivera as pitching coach and Isaiah Paige as assistant pitching coach. Trevor Burmeister was hired as hitting coach after serving in the same role for High-A Spokane in the Colorado Rockies organization in 2025.
Elijah Boyer was hired as assistant hitting coach after working for Driveline Baseball. Kyle Sasala will serve as defensive coach, Bobby Stachura and Kelsey Branstetter as athletic trainers, and Jonah Mondloch as strength and conditioning coach.
High-A Greenville will be managed by Liam Carroll with Bob Kipper as pitching coach and Andrew Sadoski as assistant pitching coach. Jarrett Pico joins as hitting coach after serving in the same role for the FCL Red Sox in 2025, with Cody Gracco hired as assistant hitting coach.
Tyler Snep was named defensive coach after serving as assistant hitting coach for Greenville in 2025. Marissa Sciabarra will serve as athletic trainer, with Dan Rosen as strength and conditioning coach.
Single-A Salem will be managed by Ozzie Chavez with Alex Reynolds as pitching coach and Brenden Argomaniz as assistant pitching coach. Nelson Paulino will serve as hitting coach, Ivan Quackenbush joins as assistant hitting coach, Kyle Schmidt as defensive coach, Jessica Von Kessel as athletic trainer and J.P. Echeverria as strength and conditioning coach.
At the Fort Myers Complex, Chase Illig will serve as manager with Michael McCormick and Oscar Lira as pitching coaches. Junior Zamora and Jack Simonetty will serve as hitting coaches, Steven Su as complex defensive coach, Hiro Nagaoka as athletic training assistant and TJ Jackson as strength and conditioning coach.
The Dominican Republic Academy will be led by managers Sandy Madera and Amaury Garcia. Pitching coaches will be Bryan Delgado, Rafael Feliz and Matt Wheeler, with Edwin Rodriguez, Juan Hernandez and Wade Satzinger as hitting coaches. Claudio Sanchez and Leonel Vazquez will serve as coaches, with William Flanders and Ivan Valera as development coaches. Athletic trainers include Pedro Wilson, Jharvyn Velasquez and Milagros Suero, with Juan Castillo, Antonio Diaz and Danny Gutierrez as strength and conditioning coaches.
The announcements finalize the Red Sox’s player development leadership and minor league coaching structure heading into the 2026 season.
