A busy night in women’s college basketball on Tuesday featured road wins, standout individual performances and several decisive conference results.
UT Martin went on the road and defeated Southeast Missouri State 67–56, led by Norah Clark’s 16 points, while Carmen Taylor scored 14 for SEMO. Charlotte controlled its home game against Florida Atlantic, winning 77–56 as Tanajah Hayes scored 14 points, with Michiyah Simmons leading FAU with 16.
Eastern Michigan held off Toledo 76–71 behind a strong performance from Peyton Hill, who finished with 25 points. Patricia Anumgba scored 22 for Toledo. Wichita State earned a 66–59 win over Memphis as Abby Cater delivered a dominant 42-point performance, while Tamya Smith led Memphis with 11.
Temple edged South Florida 86–83 in a tight contest, paced by Kaylah Turner’s 23 points. Carla Brito scored 20 for USF. North Texas picked up a 72–59 road win at UAB with Cherie Spencer scoring 16, while Cali Smallwood led UAB with 21.
Creighton defeated Xavier 82–64 behind Grace Boffeli’s 18 points, and Mariyah Noel scored 16 for Xavier. Seton Hall handled Providence 73–57 as Savannah Catalon scored 19, with Sabou Gueye leading Providence with 15.
Rice won 78–66 at Tulsa behind Dominique Ennis’ 26 points, while Hannah Riddick scored 22 for Tulsa. East Carolina earned a 65–58 road victory over UTSA, led by Keanna Rembert’s 21 points, and Mia Hammonds scored 12 for UTSA.
Kansas closed the night with an 80–69 win at Arizona, powered by Jaliya Davis’ 25 points. Sumayah Sugapong led Arizona with 17.
