New Hampshire — A Rhode Island man was arrested by New Hampshire State Police after fleeing a rollover crash on I-95 early Sunday morning.
At 12:52 a.m., State Troopers from Troop A responded to a single-vehicle crash in an active construction zone in Greenland. They found a white 2018 Range Rover Velar abandoned in the center median near mile marker 10.8. Preliminary reports show the vehicle went through the median, rolled into the southbound lanes, and came to rest back in the median before the driver fled on foot into nearby woods.
The State Police K-9 Unit and Special Enforcement Unit tracked the driver, locating him at 1:53 a.m. walking along a utility access road. He was identified as 26-year-old Oliver Denelle of Narragansett, Rhode Island. Denelle was arrested and charged with reckless conduct, reckless operation, conduct after an accident, resisting arrest, and operating without a valid license. He was held on preventive detention at the Rockingham County Jail pending arraignment Monday in Portsmouth District Court.
The crash caused a lane closure for about 30 minutes while the vehicle was removed. Troopers were assisted by multiple local police and fire departments, the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office, and the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.
