Ulster, New York – New York State Police stopped a car on Interstate 87 Thursday afternoon and walked away with a serious drug bust. At 2:01 p.m., troopers from Troop K’s Community Stabilization Unit flagged down a northbound vehicle for traffic violations.

Inside, 48-year-old Colin F. Hill of East Dorset, Vermont was behind the wheel. Riding shotgun was 32-year-old Correy G. Smith of Brooklyn. K-9 Vinn hit on narcotics outside the car, and a full search uncovered 251.5 grams of cocaine and 51.5 grams of ketamine.

Hill and Smith didn’t get a chance to make excuses. Both were arrested on first-degree criminal possession, third-degree possession with intent to sell, fourth-degree possession, fifth-degree possession with intent to sell, and criminal use of drug paraphernalia. They were taken to Ulster County Centralized Arraignment Part Court and remanded to jail without bail.
