WORCESTER, Mass. — A mid-day drug bust on Lincoln Street ended with two people in cuffs after Worcester Police Vice Squad officers watched a hand-to-hand deal go down Tuesday afternoon.
Just after 12:40 p.m. on October 22, officers saw what they recognized as a drug transaction between a man and a woman, police said. When the undercover team moved in, they tracked the male suspect to a nearby parking lot, where they found 45-year-old Gadson Mwangi of Worcester.
A search turned up two plastic bags on Mwangi — one filled with what appeared to be crack cocaine, the other with what looked like fentanyl, according to police.
Mwangi was immediately placed under arrest and hit with charges of Distribution of a Class A Substance, Possession of a Class B Substance, and Possession of a Class A Substance.
The woman involved wasn’t spared either — she was arrested for Possession of a Class A Substance and taken in on an outstanding warrant.
