A Maine man has been arrested in connection with the death of a 5-week-old baby in Biddeford last summer, authorities said.
Christopher Knapp, 36, of Biddeford, was taken into custody Tuesday on a manslaughter warrant following a grand jury indictment, according to Maine State Police.
The infant died on June 20, 2024, and an autopsy the following day ruled the death a homicide. Police have not released the child’s name or clarified Knapp’s relationship to the baby. The cause of death has also not been disclosed.
Knapp pleaded not guilty during his arraignment Thursday and remains held on $175,000 cash bail. It was not immediately clear whether he has an attorney representing him.
