Southbridge police have arrested a Level 3 sex offender for public lewdness after a weekend incident at a local cemetery.
On Saturday, September 20, officers responded to Oak Ridge Cemetery where a male was reportedly engaging in indecent behavior. The victim quickly contacted police and provided a detailed description of the suspect.
Surveillance footage from nearby businesses helped investigators identify 45-year-old Bryant Glover of Elm Street, a registered sex offender with a history of similar offenses. Detectives interviewed Glover, who confessed to the act, and he was arrested without incident.
Glover was charged with open and gross lewdness and held at police headquarters pending arraignment at Dudley District Court.
Police praised the public for their vigilance and emphasized the importance of reporting suspicious activity to 911, the non-emergency line, or through the tip411 app.
