Arizona travels to Carolina with all the momentum after a Week 1 victory over the Saints, and the numbers suggest this could be a blowout in the making. Kyler Murray looked sharp, managing the game efficiently while avoiding turnovers, and his connection with Marvin Harrison Jr. is already emerging as one of the league’s most dangerous duos. The Cardinals’ ground game, led by James Conner and rookie Trey Benson, churned out 146 yards against a middling Saints front—and Carolina’s run defense, which allowed 143 yards to Travis Etienne last week, is a clear target.

The Panthers, meanwhile, are reeling. Bryce Young struggled mightily in Week 1, throwing three turnovers and averaging just 4.4 yards per pass. His road record isn’t comforting either, with only one win in 16 away contests. Carolina’s offensive line allowed constant pressure, and the limited volume of plays—historically the lowest in the NFL—makes it hard for Young to find rhythm against a balanced, opportunistic Cardinals defense.

Defensively, the Panthers are just as vulnerable. Their run defense has been a problem for years, and they lack a consistent pass rush. Arizona’s offense, built on both air and ground threats, will test them in every phase. Even if Bryce Young finds a rhythm late, the Cardinals should have built enough of a cushion to control the game.

Arizona’s defense isn’t perfect—they struggled with the Saints’ run game and need to generate more pressure—but against a shaky Carolina offensive line and a turnover-prone quarterback, they should be able to force mistakes and capitalize.

Prediction: Cardinals 30, Panthers 17. Arizona’s balanced attack and Carolina’s early-season woes make this a comfortable home victory for the desert team, with Murray and Harrison Jr. leading the way.
