The Ravens are back in Baltimore, but this time Joe Flacco is wearing the opposing colors. The matchup has all the drama of a divisional showdown, with Baltimore looking to shake off a heartbreaking Week 1 collapse against the Ravens’ own potent offense led by Lamar Jackson and new running back Derrick Henry. Nearly 500 total yards in the opener should’ve been enough to win, but the fourth-quarter collapse still stings—and the Ravens are desperate to prove they can close games.

Baltimore’s offensive firepower will be tested against a Browns defense that looked like an iron wall in Week 1, holding the Bengals to just 141 total yards. The key battle will be how Cleveland’s defensive line, one of the league’s best, handles Jackson and Henry. If the Browns can disrupt the Ravens’ rushing attack early, they could force Baltimore into uncomfortable passing situations.

The Ravens’ defense isn’t bulletproof either. After giving up big plays late in Week 1, the secondary will have to contain Jerry Jeudy and tight end David Njoku. Joe Flacco, back in Baltimore for the first time as an opposing quarterback, will be motivated to prove he still has it. While Flacco struggled in Week 1 with two interceptions, he has a history of delivering in crunch moments and could exploit the Ravens’ coverage lapses.

There’s a “pissed-off” Ravens narrative brewing, and motivation is a powerful X-factor, especially in a hostile home stadium. Yet, historical trends in the AFC North suggest caution. Divisional games are notoriously tight, and double-digit spreads often favor the underdog—Baltimore’s talent advantage doesn’t guarantee an easy cover.

Expect a hard-hitting, physical contest with turnovers and key defensive plays deciding the outcome. The Ravens have the edge in firepower and emotion, but the Browns’ disciplined defense and divisional familiarity make this far from a blowout.

Prediction: Ravens 27, Browns 24. Baltimore should edge it, but Flacco and the Browns are poised to keep it close and test every part of the Ravens’ game plan.
