
BOSTON — On Saturday, August 23, 2025, Boston police officers assigned to District B-2 in Roxbury arrested Nathias Villanueva, 18, of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, on multiple firearm-related charges.
At approximately 12:20 a.m., officers on patrol in the area of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Washington Street observed a group of individuals dressed in black running across the street while holding their waistbands and attempting to conceal themselves behind trees. Officers exited their cruiser and approached the group on foot, announcing their presence. The group fled in different directions, and during a foot pursuit, officers observed a suspect clutching his waistband. Officers were able to stop the suspect and recovered a firearm from his sweatpants.
District B-2 Detectives responded to the scene and identified the firearm as a Glock 20 with one round in the chamber and fourteen rounds in the magazine. Villanueva was arrested and is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court on charges including carrying a loaded firearm without a license, carrying a firearm without a license, possession of a large-capacity feeding device, and unlawful possession of ammunition.
