BAKERSFIELD, Vt. — A 16-year-old boy was injured Wednesday evening after crashing an ATV in Bakersfield, according to the Vermont State Police.
Troopers from the St. Albans Barracks responded to Basswood Hill Road at approximately 6:14 p.m. on July 23 for a reported ATV crash. Investigators determined that the male juvenile lost control of his Polaris ATV and struck a tree.
The teen, a resident of Bakersfield, sustained a head injury and was transported by Enosburg Rescue for treatment. Police noted that he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The ATV sustained minor damage.
The incident remains under investigation.
