HIGHGATE, Vt. — Vermont State Police arrested 27-year-old James Kennedy of Brandon, VT, on Sunday evening, July 13, after U.S. Customs and Border Protection identified him at the Highgate Welcome Center and discovered an active arrest warrant.
Kennedy was wanted on multiple misdemeanor charges, including DUI #1 – Influence, DUI #1 – Over Legal Limit, and Operating with a Suspended License. Troopers from the St. Albans Barracks took Kennedy into custody without incident. He was transported to the Northwest State Correctional Facility in St. Albans and held on $50 bail.
Kennedy was issued a flash citation and is scheduled to appear in Windham County Criminal Court on Monday, July 14 at 12:30 p.m.
