On Wednesday morning in Worcester, Worcester Police executed a search warrant at approximately 6:05 a.m. on Fairbanks Street, leading to the arrest of 48-year-old Shawn Fleury, a resident of Worcester.
According to the Worcester Police Department, Vice detectives entered the premises and discovered Fleury, the primary target of the warrant, laying on a couch in the living room.
During the search, investigators found a bag containing 15 grams of crack cocaine hidden within the couch cushions where Fleury had been laying. In addition, they retrieved another bag suspected to contain cocaine—approximately 3 grams—from his pants pocket.
The operation also led to the recovery of two firearms, along with a significant quantity of a pink substance—specifically, 52 grams—packaged in a knotted sandwich bag. Worcester Police believe the pink substance is likely ecstasy.
Furthermore, detectives uncovered various drug-related paraphernalia, including packaging materials, digital scales, and tools indicative of drug processing activities.
As a result of the investigation, Fleury is facing multiple charges, including Trafficking a Class B Substance between 36 to 99 grams, Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute, being an Armed Career Criminal (Level 3), two counts of Firearm Use in a Felony, Improper Storage of a Firearm (partially due to access by a person under 18), and Possession of Ammunition without a Firearm Identification Card (FID).
