On Monday, March 24, the Metropolitan Police Department is asking for anyone who knows the identity of the ATV operator who struck MPD members in the Third District and fled the scene.
Saturday, March 15, 2025, at approximately 8:13 p.m., officers from the Third District were attempting to make contact with a subject who was driving an ATV in public space.
They were trying to locate the suspect who struck two officers and sustained injuries and were taken to a local hospital. One officer had serious injuries, and both were discharged from the hospital.
The Police Department is currently offering a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a crime committed in the District of Columbia.
