WPI’s talented trio of junior Katrina Yurista from Laramie, WY, senior Val Corrente hailing from East Setauket, NY, and first-year competitor Tom Fitzgerald, a native of East Longmeadow, MA, concluded their participation at the highly competitive 2025 NCAA Division III Region 3 Diving Championships held at Springfield this past Saturday.

Katrina Yurista showcased her skills on the women’s side in the 3-meter dive, posting an impressive score of 363.40 points, which secured her a commendable 26th place finish amid strong competition. 

The event was fiercely contested, with Issara Schmidt of NYU claiming the championship title, achieving a remarkable score of 488.30 points.

In the 1-meter dive category, both Fitzgerald and Corrente put forth solid performances, finishing in 13th and 14th place, respectively. 

Tom Fitzgerald concluded his dive with a total of 355.60 points, while Val Corrente registered a score of 314.00 points. 

The event saw Calder Biondi of Williams emerging victorious, having delivered an outstanding performance that earned him the title with a score of 483.75 points.
