On Wednesday night at around 9:00 p.m., at Reagan Washington National Airport their was a midair collision between a passenger airliner and a military helicopter.
What we know right now is that American Airlines flight 5342 which departed Wichita, Kansas was on approach to Runway 33 at Reagan Washington National Airport when it collided in midair with a Sikorsky H-60 helicopter.
66 passengers and four crew members were aboard the American Airlines aircraft.
The Sikorsky H-60 helicopter is an Army helicopter.
It is unknown if there are any casualties at this time.
The FAA and NTSB are investigating.
