Boston College is set to kick off its 2025 football season on August 30, when they will face off against Fordham University at Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. This highly anticipated season opener marks a significant moment for the Eagles, as it will be the first time they begin their season at home since 2023. This game also represents the fourth season opener at their home venue in the last five years, highlighting a trend that fans have eagerly welcomed.
This matchup will see the Eagles and the Rams go head-to-head for the first time in nearly 71 years; their last encounter was in 1954, when both teams competed in the Bronx. Historically, Boston College has held the advantage in this storied rivalry, leading the all-time series against Fordham, which began back in 1912, with a record of 14 wins, 11 losses, and 2 ties. The Eagles have been particularly strong on their home turf, sporting an impressive 11-7-1 record against the Rams at Alumni Stadium.
