On August 8th, 2024, in Worcester District Court, 75 year old Shabeeb S. Hamid was arraigned for indecent assault and battery on a child under the age of 14 years old.

Officer Karolina Gawedzki with the Worcester Police Department was dispatched to a known address in the city of Worcester, MA, for a report of an indecent assault and battery.

The victim stated to the police that while playing with his friend by the water, Mr. Hamid approached him and hugged him. The victim also stated Mr. Hamid then touched his “butt” and then the victim pointed to his left breast, stating he was also touched in that area by Mr. Hamid.

The victim stated that Mr. Hamid made him touch his genital area. After that police were informed that the victim’s clothes smelled like Mr. Hamid after he was physically touched by him.

Three witnesses and the victim identified Hamid Shabeeb. The victim was found at the age of 10 years old.

Hamid S. Shabeeb has pleaded not guilty and will be held without bail until his arraignment tomorrow, August 9th, 2024.

Mr. Hamid also has another charge of Indecent Assault and Battery on a person over the age of 14 from June 4th, 2024, with an adult female.

The victim told the police that Mr. Hamid attempted to kiss her without her consent. He also touched her breast with his hand without consent. Worcester Police said Mr. Hamid and the victim were unknown to each other.

The adult female victim was walking her dog away from her husband and children, and that is when Mr. Hamid approached her.

A criminal application requesting a warrant for Hamid Shabeeb for MGL 265/13H- Indecent Assault and Battery on a person over 14 was issued.

4 separate incidents have recently been reported to the Worcester police in that same area and believed to have been committed by Shabeeb.
