Authorities at the federal level have confirmed the identity of the individual suspected of firing shots at a Trump campaign rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday. The alleged shooter has been identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania.
According to Pennsylvania voter records, there is a registered Republican by the name of Thomas Matthew Crooks at the same address and with the same birthdate as the suspect. It is unclear from the records when this registration was established.
The Secret Service, in coordination with the FBI, is urging both attendees of the Trump campaign rally and the general public to come forward with any relevant information about the shooter or the incident. They can do so by contacting the FBI by phone at 800-call-FBI or by submitting information online via FBI.gov/butler.
