In the Eastern Coast Football League (ECFL), the Middlesex Longhorns achieved a remarkable 32-0 victory over the Connecticut Lightning in an intense showdown in Woburn, Massachusetts. Meanwhile, the Rhode Island Raptors demonstrated their prowess by securing a 36-12 win against the Golden Badgers, marking their second consecutive victory.
Other compelling matches in the ECFL included the Bristol Bulls defeating the Western Mass Raiders with a solid 36-20 score, the Southern New England Admirals triumphing over the Marlboro Shamrocks with a 36-22 victory, and the Boston Bandits narrowly edging past the Connecticut Mustangs with a 21-20 win. Additionally, the Millcity Eagles displayed their strength as they clinched a hard-fought 34-28 win over the Haverhill Hitmen in Lawrence, Massachusetts.
In another notable match, the Randolph Oilers, following their dominant performance against the Granite State Destroyers last weekend, secured a 21-12 victory over the Troy City Titans, marking their second win of the season.
However, the most disheartening game of the night unfolded at Saint Anselm College, where the Valley Generals outplayed the Granite State Destroyers with a 20-7 win. The start of the 2024 season has been challenging for the Granite State Destroyers, who also suffered a significant defeat against the Oilers last week. Their performance has been notably diminished compared to the previous year, with evident struggles in defensive focus and offensive strategy. As the season progresses, the Destroyers will need to undergo a comprehensive analysis of their gameplay, make strategic adjustments, and introduce innovative tactics to revive their performance and get back to their winning ways.
