Boston Police on Friday arrested two suspects in connection to an armed robbery at a Cumberland Farms Chestnut Hill Ave in Brighton.
The incident happened on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 11:11 PM. Boston Police said, James Wise, 64, of Dorchester entered the Cumberland Farms located at 148 Chestnut Hill Ave and brandished a firearm and attempted to rob the store. “The robbery was unsuccessful as the victim fled the scene,” Boston Police said.
On Friday Boston Police executed an arrest and search warrant for Wise and a second individual who has been identified by Boston Police as David Jones, 65, of Lynn
Boston Police said, “During the execution of the search warrant, officers found evidence directly related to the attempted armed robbery, including a Black Springfield Arms .45 caliber firearm and an unassembled AR-15 style rifle.”
Wise was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, unlawful possession of a large capacity feeding device, unlawful possession of an assault weapon, and attempted robbery. Jones was charged with possession of Class A and Class B drugs, along with attempted armed robbery.
