In the first round of the Big East Tournament at Mohegan Sun Arena on Thursday, Providence defeated Butler 75-60.
Emily Archibald led the way for Providence with 17 points, three offensive rebounds, four defensive rebounds three helpers, and three steals.
Olivia Olsen finished with three offensive rebounds, nine defensive rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block while Grace Efosa registered 13 points, five defensive rebounds, two assists and two steals, and
Brynn Farrell finished with 11 points, one offensive rebound, two defensive rebounds and six assists.
Providence had 15 Second Chance Points, 13 Fast Break Points and and the game tied four times.
