The Boston Red Sox made a notable roster move over the weekend, acquiring minor league right-handed pitcher David Sandlin from the Kansas City Royals in exchange for right-handed pitcher John Schreiber. Sandlin, a 22-year-old hurler who was selected by Kansas City in the 11th round of the 2022 First-Year Player Draft, has impressed in his 15 starts, going 4-2 with a 3.41 ERA (26 ER/68.2 IP) and racking up an impressive 90 strikeouts while walking just 18 batters. He also boasts a solid 1.19 WHIP and a .250 opponent batting average.

Monday saw the announcement by the New England Revolution that midfielder Damian Rivera would join USL Championship side Tampa Bay Rowdies on loan for the 2024 campaign. A native of Cranston, Rhode Island, the 21-year-old enters his fifth professional season having played 21 times for New England, starting six matches and netting one goal.

Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket D’jimon Brooks has signed with the Massachusetts Pirates for the 2024 season, bringing his skills to the team after playing for the New Orleans Breakers in the USFL for two seasons.
