Sunday afternoon Rhode Island State Police arrested Samantha Higson, 34, of 70 New Road, Exeter, Rhode Island for Leaving the Scene of an Accident Resulting in Damage to Attended Vehicle, Reckless Driving, Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/ or Drugs B.A.C. Unknown – First Offense, Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/ or Drugs – Child Passenger Under 13 (2 Counts), and Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – First Offense.
Around 2:30 PM, Troopers with the Rhode Island State Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Route 102 in the Town of Exeter and Higson was subsequently taken into custody.
Rhode Island State Police said Higson was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and later released to the custody of a responsible adult pending a future fourth district court date.
